VPF is proud to be the home of Poppie, a Pilate's Studio for the Mind, Body & Soul.  Poppie was established in June of 2015 in honor of Owner, Kelly Gulbrandsen's grandfather.  Focusing on core alignment and based on the original teaching of Joseph Pilates, our instructors will guide you through a series of exercises in order to gain strength, flexibility and improved posture.

Poppie offers private, duo, and trio Pilate's sessions.  We will also be adding a variety of classes to our schedule in the near future so please stay tuned!

Kelly Gulbrandsen has been in the fitness industry for over 15 years. She graduated from Colorado State University with a major in Health and Exercise Sciences with a concentrate in Health Promotion. She became a Performance Enhancement Specialist through NASM. After spending 6 years as a personal trainer, Kelly decided to become certified through the Peak Pilates training system as well.  She feels Pilate's should be a necessity in every persons life.  After practicing and instructing at a large club in the Denver area, Kelly decided to move on and open up her own Studio within her and her husbands fitness facility.  Upon opening Poppie Pilates, Kelly got certified through the Pilates Method Alliance as well as completed Kathy Grant’s Heritage Training Program. When training her clients, Kelly believes its all about balance. Pilates and weights go hand in hand to help unilaterally develop a strong body.  Kelly is a Colorado native who has 3 beautiful children and loves to climb stairs competitively, be outdoors, and find peace through art and journaling.  She specializes in anything from pre/post partum, the weekend warrior, and even professional athletes.  Kelly truly practices every day what she preaches and her life goal is to inspire and motivate others. Kelly is currently working on developing a website for online training and Pilates, as well as, empowering and motivating people to live their best life. “We all have our battles to overcome each day. Pilates Fee Structure:

Private 1 hour Session:  $80-$90

Duo Session:  $55-$60 per person

Trio 1 hour Session:  $45-$50 per person

Lauren Elizabeth Cannady studied Construction Management at Southern Illinois University, and completed her Historic Preservation graduate degree at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. After participating in a fellowship exchange program in France, Lauren envisioned herself as an educational leader. She soon realized that the construction and preservation of the mind and body were equally important to her academic background. Her lifetime passion of health and fitness led her to pursue a career as a Pilates instructor. Her certification is through The Core Center Pilates Instructor Education System. The program, designed by Boulder-trained, PMA Teacher-Trainer Mary J. Brown, is a classical, PMA approved curriculum with contemporary elements. Lauren instructed at Pause Pilates in Paris, France, with Veronique Berger, one of Mary’s past trainees. Upon returning to the US, Lauren instructed in the St. Louis area for two years before following her dream to move to Denver. Lauren is a PMA Certified Pilates Trainer who loves continuing her education in the fitness industry. Her love for the Pilates method allows her to help clients meet their goals, encompassing the lifestyle that Joseph Pilates has created. Lauren is experienced in a diverse client base including those with injuries, children and adolescents, and extreme athletes.
